Packaging

For the packaging, I have decided to create a template for an envelope that will house all of my collages- similar to how flowers are wrapped to and fro a florists. I have chosen to experiment with tracing paper, grey card and craft paper. I wanted to see how the collages would look behind the tracing paper as flowers are temporary so I wanted to communicate across the feeling of fragile delicateness within the packaging as well. However, saying this, I ended up wanting a more thicker type of paper as it is the cover after all and the weight of paper used should differ from the papers inside. I then decided to experiment with grey card next as I have witnessed a lot of florists receive their flowers within newsprint therefore , taking the previous trial in account, I thought grey card would be reminiscent of the newsprint flowers are shipped in. Sadly, the grey did not go well with my collages therefore I decided to forgo the grey and try craft paper. I ended up liking the craft paper most as it gave the most organic feel without being too cliched and design wise, links perfectly with the craft paper used in the collages. However, the type of craft paper I used was too thin therefore for the final packaging, I have decided to swap out this thinner version of craft paper to a thicker card-like version of it.

If I were to experiment again, I would like to experiment with more materials - maybe different types of eco paper, cellophane - cardboard even to get a very wide feel as to how each paper acts.
