On the day of the instalment, we placed everything and realised that we weren't all that happy about the placement of the twigs. We felt like with the twigs placed in order of height, the

instalment appeared cliché and wasn't interesting. Also the instalment looked like it was cowering in the corner due to bigger teepees being placed so close to the walls. So we set on to changing it by bringing bigger teepees forward, moving the whole instalment away from the corner towards the right wall and generally spacing out the teepees more. This is what we ended up with.

We also decided to take offcuts of the twigs and gather them up into a pile to the left to indicate the war they have escaped from and essentially what led the novel. We also decided the place the spears that we made on the wall opposite the pile of offcuts to show the new civilisation that has formed within and amongst the boys.

Working with a group of people have revealed and taught me a lot of lessons throughout these 5 weeks. It has taught me to be playful with my work and how polished work may not be the best option on some cases. I thoroughly enjoyed working with my group as everyone had a very different ways of working and therefore our ways in approaching the brief differed greatly resulting in all of us getting to witness and learn from each other . For example, I , who do not work with mixed media much got to the chance to see Ellie's work and her way of working.
