Layering with Paper

I also liked to layout with paper from time to time so I decided that this would be a good time to start playing around with layering paper.

I decided to use quite organic, earthy coloured paper as I really liked how my collage from my first year turned out and therefore I decided to once again go with the same materials / colour scheme. I then went on to making bigger layouts with the same kind of paper. I actually didn't think I would find it quite difficult as much as I did. Maybe it was because I haven't done a layout in so long but either way, I found it quite hard to come up with new compositions as I somehow always ended up with layers that looked very similar with my collage from last year.

The photograph in the middle was put there just to see how my layout would look underneath a more colourful piece of work.

I do really like how the second layout turned out and therefore decided to see what my drawing would look like layered on top of it. I also decided to see what happens if I turned down the saturation and see whether or not my drawing would still have the same effect when layered on top of it.
