Tiger Studies

I wanted to start drawing tigers right away to get a sense of what type of illustration will lend itself effectively to the type of report that I am going to write so I decided to draw tigers I looked after during my time at the zoo as I am most familiar with them, therefore I know their dimensions best.

I have chosen to do a tonal drawing of the tigers as even though, the lines look bold, the medium is pencil therefore easily erased. Suggesting that even though these animals are perceived to be strong undefeated , they are very vulnerable to human activity.
