After the workshop with Gareth. I found the idea of combining letters and plants very interesting so I decided to play around with the idea more. I started with repeating what I create yesterday in order to take what I have learnt from previous pieces and therefore try to create a new one and while I do really like how it turned out, I wasn't too fond of how tightly packed I painted the plants therefore, I decided to move on to a new piece where I weren't going to layer any plants but instead, use differentiating colours to create the letter I wanted to create. Once again, I really liked how the plant and letter turned out but I would have to work on my colour combinations and maybe experiment with colours that are totally unnatural to the plant world just to see how it would turn out.

I also decided to see whether or not I can incorporate these paintings with my essay and therefore went to paint these plants on a scrap page of book. I didn't like the way it looked as the plants themselves were quite simple and light in colour therefore they proceeded to blend it with the page a litter bit too much. Furthermore, with the type being vintage, the simplicity of the plants somehow just contrasted to much with the letters instead of complementing each other.
