Out of all of the illustrations I have produced through out work shops on iAnna, I have decided to choose these 5 images.

I have decided to chose this image as my front cover as I felt that the frame, which was the olden day way of documenting people, dipped in paint works greatly in signifying how Anna is losing her human side to technology.
I decided also, to make the background surrounding the frame red as it felt that I wanted the full emphasis on the white and therefore did not want to risk adding any element to the picture that may take away from the it. This is also why I decided not to include any title as I feel that the title would not be necessary and would act against the notion of me trying to obscure her. I have also decided to only show parts of the frame as I have really liked the effect of one of her eyes on the spine of the book and the way in which the frame wraps itself around the book, similar to the way technology has wrapped itself around Anna and consumed her.
I have chosen to used these 4 illustrations in the end as I felt that inside the book, the red wasn't necessary and the frame dipped in paint itself was a strong enough image. I have also decided to forgo the stages in which her face wasn't as obscured by paint as the story started out with her already in the mental hospital and therefore I felt that it wouldn't be appropriate to show the whole of her face. However, I have decided to still show the eyes in the first illustration as Anna has completely lost her human side yet therefore I felt the need to have the important part of the face still shown.
All in all, this project has shown me that sometimes, less is more and in this case, overcomplicating the idea can work against me instead of for me and therefore I will keep this lesson in mind as I take on future projects.
