My first booklet mock-up was a total disaster as I wasn't able to get the measurements right, leaving gaps in between my pages, causing the whole booklet to not look well put together. At first, I wanted to try using heavy white paper in the middle , surrounded by tracing paper on the outside to mirror how flowers are usually packaged at florists. This resulted in the booklet ending up looking too clean-cut and clinical therefore , didn't achieve what I wanted to achieve. However, what I have learnt from putting together this booklet is that I really like the idea of using tracing paper or drafting film for my final booklet as I felt that both papers are able to bring in a touch of delicateness to my booklet which perfectly represents the textures of the flowers that I am writing about.

My second mock booklet however, went a lot better as I have decided to use indesign to create my pages so that the image and text would be back to back. This effect added with the fact that I am printing onto tracing paper will create the delicateness I want to science with my booklet. However, because tracing paper is quite thin, the words came out a bit hard to read, therefore I decided to go back to indesign to adjust the background image to allow more visibility to the text on the foreground.

My final booklet came out just the way I wanted as I have learnt from all my mistakes and managed to achieve a booklet that is delicate and still have the essay readable. I have also decided that instead of binding my booklet with a string, I would bind it with a saddle stitch instead. This was because when I tried sewing into tracing paper and drafting film, because of the paper itself, the wholes the needle created were very big and quite visible therefore I decided to go with saddle stitching instead in order to not interfere with the overall feel of the booklet.
